Education
I graduated Bachelor of Secondary Education (Major in English) at Philippine Normal University - The Country's National Center for Teacher Education. I was awarded Lopez Jaena Journalism Award being the editor-in-chief of the university publication. I also passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers with a satisfactory rating. I have just earned certificates in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Teaching English to Children (TEC) at Concordia International College.
Experience
I worked as a full-time English Teacher in Taiwan for a year (2012-2013). I used to conduct classes with 8-20 students. However, when there's a need for me to do one-one-one remedial sessions with the least proficient students in the class, I did it with utmost sincerity and passion. This indicates my flexibility in teaching either on a group or individual basis. After six months of diligently performing my duties (in Taiwan), I got promoted as a Group Leader. I took the challenge and made a remarkable impression till my contract ended. Right now, I'm studying Korean language for me to relate and connect more with ESL students especially Koreans. I'm still on a beginner level but I'm planning to take more intensive classes to improve my Korean speaking and reading skills. Just recently, I have learned that I passed the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) - Level 1. This intensifies my motivation to get better with the language. I'm also planning to go to Korea if there's an opportunity. Am keeping my door open for any legitimate opportunities.
